UM Classes of 1938, 1948, and 1958 Celebrate their 50, 60, and 70 reunions May 8-9-10, 2008
Join fellow classmates for fun and conversation-filled events taking place at your reunion this May. Each event includes plenty of time for you to catch up with classmates you maybe haven’t seen in years!
A block of rooms has been set aside at the Doubletree Hotel Missoula/Edgewater for reunion attendees. Click here for more information. |
Reunion registration takes place in Brantly Hall, the former North Hall, all day Thursday May 8th, and until 4 pm on Friday, May 9th. Here you'll pick up your gift bags and name tags, peruse class annuals, leave notes for others, meet friends, and have a snack. You also will be fitted with a cap and gown to wear at Commencement on Saturday morning.
The President’s Social on Thursday May 8th, 2 to 4 pm, provides special time to see classmates and visit with administrators and the University's President, George Dennison. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar.
The My Class Dinner begins at 6:30 pm Thursday evening at the DoubleTree Hotel with a no host bar. Another perfect chance to visit with dear friends. We pass the microphone during dessert so each class member can make remarks, introduce guests, and share fond memories with the group.
Friday morning starts with an early bird walk to campus at 7:30 a.m. from the DoubleTree lobby. Campus tours are also available at this time. The All Aboard Bus Tour departs the DoubleTree lobby at 9:30 a.m. This bus tour features a legendary Missoula guide who drives around Missoula showing the favorite old spots and the many changes in the city. The tour stops at Fort Missoula for a visit to the grounds, buildings, and museum. The bus stops again at Shadow’s Keep for luncheon on the terrace, which offers an incredible view of the Missoula Valley. After lunch the bus returns to campus. You can get off at Brantly Hall for afternoon campus tours or stay on the bus and return to the DoubleTree Hotel.
Friday afternoon each class has its own reception - further time with friends. More information will be forthcoming as details are finalized.
Friday evening is the All Class Banquet. The entire reunion group dines together in the DoubleTree ballroom. The evening includes a brief presentation, music, and plenty of time to visit with friends. This event begins at 6:15 pm with a no host bar. Dinner begins at 7 pm.
Saturday morning we meet in the DoubleTree lobby to don our caps and gowns and board buses to attend UM's 2007 Commencement. We will depart the DoubleTree by bus at approximately 8:30 a.m. There is room on the buses for your family members and guests, so no one needs to deal with driving or parking cars on campus. Class photos are taken at a stop on the bus ride at the Phyllis Washington Pavilion near Mt. Sentinel. A continental breakfast awaits reunion members in the Adams Center Sky Club prior to Commencement ceremonies. We have reserved seating for reunion family members and friends in the Adams Center. Reunion participants are introduced during Commencement ceremonies, an unforgettable moment for all. Buses return you and your family members to the DoubleTree following Commencement. Your family is invited to the Commencement Brunch, so please register them if they would like to attend. Brunch at the DoubleTree after Commencement usually begins around 11 a.m. At brunch, each graduate will receive a commemorative diploma from President George Dennison. The reunion is officially over at the end of the brunch.
