The 10th Annual Community Lecture Series Behind the Headlines Revisited...
Three Outstanding UM professors presented the first Community Lecture Series in 1998 and will revisit their topics from 10 years ago - issues even more pertinent now than they were before 9-11 and the Iraq war.
Paul Lauren Regents Professor of History February 12 and 19 "Human Rights and the World Today"
Richard Drake Professor of History February 26 and March 4 "The Global War on Terrorism: Its Origins and Likely Outcomes"
Mehrdad Kia Asst. Provost for International Programs March 11 and 18 "Islam and the West"
Each professor will lecture two Tuesdays, with question and answer sessions at the end of each lecture. Our traditional wine and cheese reception follows the March 18 Lecture.
